The second before the name is called.
That pause is the reason people stay until the end of the dinner. Full screen mode turns the draw into the show: the prize as a headline, your event title above it, a tick on every segment, a fanfare and confetti for the winner. Pick a poster that fits the night (carnival, party, gold and red or midnight gala), and Remy, the SOURems mascot, cheers every winner.
- Paste the names. Copy the column from your guest list, or import a CSV.
- List the prizes, smallest first, with the grand prize last.
- Go full screen on the projector and draw with the space bar or a clicker.
- Download the results as a CSV for the prize table and the record.

Five rules that stop the grumbling.
- Draw from people who are present. Use the list of guests who actually arrived, not the invite list.
- Announce the rules first, including what happens if a winner is not in the room.
- Go from the smallest prize to the biggest, so the room stays until the end.
- One prize per person unless you say otherwise before the draw starts.
- Keep the record. Download the results, including any redraws.

Is this lucky draw wheel free?+
Yes. No account, no ads and no limit on draws. The names stay in your browser; nothing is uploaded.
Is the draw really random?+
Yes. Every name in the draw has the same chance. The tool uses your browser's cryptographic random number generator (crypto.getRandomValues), the same source used for passwords, and records the time of every result.
Should I use the wheel or the slot machine reel?+
Both work with any list size. The wheel draws one winner per spin with the most suspense: everyone watches the paddle slow down. The slot machine reel draws up to five winners at once, which saves time at annual dinners and family days with many consolation prizes.
How many names can I add?+
Thousands, and the names never shrink. The wheel always has 20 big segments: while it spins, names are swapped in on the hidden lower half, so a long list keeps rolling past. Everyone in the list has the same chance, including names that have not rolled past yet, because the winner is picked from the whole list before the wheel stops.
Can the same person win twice?+
Not by default. "Remove winners from the next draw" is on, so each winner leaves the pool. Switch it off if people hold several entries or prizes can repeat.
What if the winner is not in the room?+
Press "Absent? Redraw this prize" on the result card. The person is removed from the draw, the prize goes back to the front of the queue and the next draw is for the same prize.
How do I add prizes?+
List one prize per line in the order you will draw them, usually smallest first and the grand prize last. Write "RM50 voucher x10" for ten of the same prize. Each draw takes the next prize.
Can I run it on a projector or LED screen?+
Yes. Press Full screen and the stage fills the screen: the controls disappear, the prize title grows to headline size and names stay readable from the back of a ballroom. Draw with the SPIN button in the middle of the wheel, the lever on the slot machine, the space bar or a presentation clicker.
Can I save the results?+
Yes. Copy the winners or download a CSV with the name, prize and time of every draw, including redraws. Results also stay in your browser if you refresh the page.
Is a lucky draw legal in Malaysia?+
A free draw where nobody pays to enter, such as a company annual dinner draw, is generally treated differently from a lottery. Ticketed raffles and draws tied to a purchase can need a permit under the Lotteries Act 1952. Our guide to lucky draw prizes explains the rules in more detail.
